Guided onboarding · your next steps
- For Approval/Automatic, open Strategies → Prepare a paper strategy. Download genuine Nifty 100/500 history, review the proposed calendar, basis and policy, then install while disconnected in Manual. The readiness cards explain every remaining blocker; installation never starts trading.
- Open Broker & feed setup. In step 3, check the saved broker session. If expired, disconnect any requested feed, complete Zerodha login and exchange the returned request token.
- The catalog and selected symbols may already be configured. Step 4 shows their actual tokens and tick sizes.
- In step 5, add a genuine reviewed NSE session with the correct date, hours and source. Preparing a future date does not open today's market.
- In step 6, connect market data and confirm. A connection is not a guarantee of fresh accepted quotes.
- For long-term accounts, open Risk Center and complete current-session price-basis reviews for each supported symbol. Review actual intervening corporate actions; this is not a box to tick blindly.
- During the configured entry window of an open reviewed session, wait for fresh accepted quotes and inspect every readiness reason.
- Use Purchases & SIP to preview and explicitly confirm a long-term paper purchase. Acceptance needs later usable quotes to fill. The Trading desk can use an explicitly configured reviewed real-data profile. Without it, the current account retains your manual watchlist.
Outside market/entry hours, blocked entries and stale quotes are expected. Connecting after the close cannot create executable fresh market data. Current equity-share fees do not validate ETF execution costs.
When does it trade?
| Mode | Decision frequency | What causes an order? |
|---|---|---|
| Manual long-term | No automatic entry schedule | Your explicit purchase/SIP confirmation, followed by risk approval and later fill quotes. Holdings can persist overnight; protective exits remain active. |
| Supervised intraday, separately configured | Eligible completed five-minute bars after warmup | An armed strategy signal plus all data/risk checks. Five-minute evaluation does not mean a trade every five minutes; the configured per-symbol proposal cap also applies. |
| Monitoring | Console refreshes every three seconds; watchdog checks approximately every second | These are monitoring intervals, not a schedule for buying stocks. Exits still need fresh quotes and liquidity. |
Unlocking, connecting the feed and choosing a menu section never arm a strategy or submit a new order. This coding assistant does not trade in the background.
Recorded orders and fills remain in Trade History.
